Join international yoga teacher Rocky Heron for a special evening of practice, learning and play!

In this fun, funky flow, we’ll move through a somewhat familiar vinyasa sequence but take some detours outside of business-as-usual. Our vinyasa practice, while quite diverse in its movements, is somewhat lacking in loading certain joint positions and mapping particular pathways of movement.

Diversifying your movements is key to a healthy and resilient body, so step outside the box a bit and play your way through some new, multi-planar and functional movements not traditionally explored.

Class will buoyantly weave through standing postures, hip openers, and accessible arm balance options. Along the way expect to learn groundbreaking techniques to evolve your experience in a wide range of asana and transitions, all while deepening your knowledge around the mechanics of your magnificent body.

This is a great opportunity to evolve your practice within a familiar framework. Mixed level options will be offered. Class will conclude with live music in shavasana.

About Rocky Heron: Music and melody are encoded in Rocky’s DNA. The son of an acclaimed reggae musician and an alternative medicine woman, Rocky grew up surrounded in a rich tapestry of musical influences. As a child, Rocky was baptized in the Caribbean sea with the prayer that his life would unfold like a beautiful song.

Following the trail of his dynamic interests, and his commitment to asking the deeper questions, Rocky found his way into the practice and study of Yoga, and has since gone on to become an international and highly regarded teacher and trainer. His following album, “The Requiem EP” was born out of his affinity for the healing power of chanting, as taught through the yoga system, and featured 5 acoustic songs comprised of devotional Hindu mantras. Rocky has had the pleasure of performing these compositions around the world at yoga studios, festivals, and conferences, and his music is a featured element in many teachers classes who have experienced first hand its soul stirring and meditative qualities.

Rocky’s life has been anything but conventional, and his mission continues to be to serve as a catalyst for alignment. His music and his teaching are offered as a result of his fervent desire to speak wisdom and truth in increasingly resonant ways. “Let us all remember the gift our embodiment can serve to elevate our world.
